FIRST EVER Fundraiser Event

At Yellow Brick Road Projects, it is our goal to support young people to navigate lifestyle challenges and reduce the impact of poverty. To support this, we decided to hold a Hoedown event. Thanks to the generosity of The Local Marketing Company and Finkley Down Farm, working together we were able to help raise money for our charity.

We reached MAX capacity at the event and raised over £4,700! It was all due to guests wanting to take part in some of the many activities that we hosted.

Some of the other activities were mechanical rodeo bull, hobby horse racing, a charity auction, raffle, games and drinks. A massive thank you to Soall Smoke & Flame for their delicious food throughout the evening. It was a great opportunity for guests to experience Finkley Down Farm after dark for a great cause.

Some activities even gave back to our guests, for example heads or tails. £10 entry ticket and the winner won £100, all for being last one standing in a 50/50 coin toss! The auction was starting to get very intense as people bid for the best prizes such as a spa day for 2, Finkley Farm day pass for a family of 4, Romsey Rapids family day pass and more!

We also had some amazing singers like Georgie Amelia performing incolour and Fleeting Hearts, an acoustic duo playing versions of the latest hits!

After all of the events, we offered s'mores to our guests and we ended the night with the bright flames of the campfire. We would like to give a huge thank you to all of our volunteers who helped us with setting up, packing away, and with hosting all of the activities held. Every volunteer and guests helped make the night one to remember!
