Future Leaders and Decision Makers

Working in partnership with TVBC – this project is all about supporting young people to shape the town in which they live … Andover. Through participation in the Future Leaders and Decision Makers sessions, young people have an opportunity to share their views, shape opportunities, and have new experiences.

 

An example of this is Andover Anarchy, which started as an idea pitched through a session called Dragon’s Dennish. Here, young people shared their ideas of how they would spend £500 donated by The Rotary Club with four dragons. The winning pair put forward the idea of a punk music festival – for young people, by young people. This project became Andover Anarchy and took place on October 29th 2025 with over 100 local young people taking part.

 

Through involvement in the festival’s development, young people learnt skills in marketing, budgeting, risk assessment, communication and so much more. In taking part in this programme, we aspire to cultivate these vital skills in young people, setting them up for a lifetime of innovation and groundbreaking leadership. We are currently planning a followup to the festival in 2026.
