What We do

“I believe that everyone has a seam of GOLD, but for some this has been buried deep. All it takes is one person to enable this gold to shine through, a trusted person who can help you to believe in yourself. My mission is to be able to provide young people with this relationship and to see their GOLD shine through” Siobhan - CEO of Yellow Brick Road Projects.

Strengths Based Approach

We know that each young person has their own unique abilities and strengths. We give them space to shine and celebrate their individuality in their learning.

A wide range of support

We provide young people with essential life skills they need to flourish. Key areas include: Finance, Home Matters, Health and Wellbeing, Career Advice, and Relationships.

We all learn from each other in compassionate safe spaces without any judgement.

About Us

The core values that form the entire ethos of our organisation are: sensitivity, integrity, and reliability. Through this we strive to foster a responsive environment where listening and learning from young people are paramount. In our work we believe the first crucial step is to engage with and understand the young people we work with. We place great emphasis here on listening and through this we design our programmes entirely for individuals. This puts young people at the heart of what we do, allowing them to focus in on what's important.

Once we have listened and learned, the next step is to see in which ways we can best provide support and provide vital life skills. The aim is to help find support networks, build resilience, and reduce feelings of loneliness.

The culminating step is to put these ideas into practice and allow the young people we work with to follow their own path, now better equipped to deal with the challenges that lie ahead. After all, our founding philosophy is to ‘Help young people find their seam of Gold’. Through this practice we aim to inspire and empower as many young people as possible.
